Who we are

Welcome to THE FORD MISSION

In loving memory of Dr. Dwedor Weslyn Ford, former Director of the Division of Kinesiology in the School of Public and Allied Health, Prairie View A&M University, THE FORD MISSION was established to continue her passionate work and groundbreaking impact.

Dr. Ford was more than a scholar—she was a mentor, a leader, and an advocate for equity in education and the allied health sciences. Her dedication to empowering Black students and faculty in Kinesiology laid the foundation for this mission.
